Chandler Teraoka
Chandler Teraoka is an Associate Attorney at The Pride Law Firm. She attended Houghton College in New York, where she received her B.A. in International Development and Communication. She then attended Regent University School of Law in Virginia, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Justice and Public Policy. She was also an Executive Member of the Trial Advocacy Board and a member of the Student Bar Association. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Judge Johnson in the Circuit Court of Buchanan County, Virginia.

Why are you choosing to focus on sexual assault?
I became a lawyer because I am passionate about fighting for justice for survivors. I really care about protecting vulnerable people and advocating for laws to ensure safety and accountability for everyone. I recognize that when people need our help, they are most likely in the darkest time of their lives, so I hope to make them feel cared for, supported, and believed.
What is a message you would like to give survivors of sexual assault who are afraid of pursuing their perpetrators in civil court?
I know it seems really scary right now, but I promise it will be worth it.

Chandler passed three different state bar exams in a row: Virginia, Pennsylvania, and California. In college, she played lacrosse and studied abroad in Rwanda. Chandler enjoys going to the beach, hiking, and exploring California with her husband.
