Jessica Pride at the 20th Annual Tea & Tonic Fundraiser

As Board President for the Center for Community Solutions, Jessica Pride will be networking with other sexual assault prevention advocates at this year’s 20th annual Tea & Tonic fundraiser! The high tea and philanthropy event will bring together key community leaders, sponsors, volunteers and advocates at the resort hotel The Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The annual event supports the CCS’s vision of ending sexual violence by strategizing prevention plans and providing survivors with the helpful resources they need to recover and heal.

The 2019 Annual Tea & Tonic Fundraiser will feature keynote speaker Zainab Salbi, an international humanitarian, media host and renowned author. There will also be an awards ceremony, live auction and raffle, a VIP reception, plus a keynote speaker meet and greet.

Tea & Tonic Will Feature the “What Were You Wearing” Exhibit

The event will also include the “What Were You Wearing” exhibit. This renowned art installation has captured audiences around the world with collections of the “normal,” modest articles of clothing assault victims were wearing when they were attacked. It deliberately confronts the stigma that sexual assault survivors somehow invited the attack by their clothing.

Jessica was inducted as President of the Board of Directors for CCS at last year’s Tea and Tonic, and each year she plays an active role in organizing the event.
