Jessica K. Pride

About

I am privileged and honored to represent survivors of sexual assault, and I will not stop until I don’t have a job anymore.
Managing partner Jessica Pride

Jessica Pride is the managing partner at The Pride Law Firm. From SART advocate* and friend to aggressive trial lawyer, for more than fifteen years, Jessica Pride has been the lead attorney on behalf of women, men and children who have been sexually assaulted.

She is a Co-Founding Chair of the American Association for Justice’s Sexual Assault Litigation Group, and a standing member of the Board of Governors since 2014. At The Pride Law Firm, she was the first law firm in the state to employ a full-time Survivor Advocate to ensure her clients receive the attention and support required after an assault.

Headquartered in San Diego, Jessica represents survivors throughout California and is available to act as co-counsel for individuals of sexual assault throughout the 50 states. Regardless of where you live, Jessica and her team can answer your specific questions from both legal and emotional perspectives.

Her passion for the law stems from a lifetime of watching her attorney stepfather and her disdain for bullying. After graduating from University of California, Irvine with her B.A. in English, she felt earning her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2006 was a natural progression.

In law school, she discovered a talent for helping people in civil litigation, where the survivor of an injury sues the at-fault party. This earned her an associate position at one of the nation’s premier personal injury firms in Los Angeles.

She moved on to San Diego’s Casey Gerry law firm, where she fought for her first sexual assault survivor and felt the personal reward and vindication that comes with helping a survivor seek justice — and succeeding. Jessica spent the next 10 years refining her legal advocacy skills, helping to earn millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for her clients.

Her legal passion blossomed into handling sexual assault cases.

Jessica devotes much of her time helping sexual assault survivors by offering legal assistance at San Diego’s only domestic violence and rape crisis center, the Center for Community Solutions, where she now serves as President of the Board of Directors. She is an active volunteer in the Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Make-A-Wish Foundations.

*Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Advocates have a minimum of 60 hours of training to counsel and guide survivors of sexual assault and abuse.

Jessica understands the anguish of sexual assault, and she knows it doesn’t have to define your life.

Jessica encourages survivors to pursue their cases in civil court. Whether taking on a culpable individual, corporation or municipality, Jessica has used the civil court system to send strong messages that result in serious changes.
