Dante T. Pride
Dante T. Pride is the founding partner of The Pride Law Firm. He earned his B.S. in psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia under a full academic scholarship and was a member of both the honors program and dean’s list.
Pride studied advanced trial advocacy at the University of San Diego School of Law. Before graduating with his J.D., he was VP of the Student Bar Association and became a certified legal intern at the Office of the Alternate Public Defender.
After accepting a position at a prestigious San Diego law firm, Pride gained invaluable experience protecting some of the largest U.S. corporations in employment and labor litigation.
Harkening his fellow Morehouse alumnus, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mr. Pride decided to blaze his own trail and start The Pride Law Firm based on the idea that “Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere.” Focusing on Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, and Employment Law, Mr. Pride employs meticulous attention to detail and zealous advocacy to protect his client’s rights and eradicate injustice in both state and federal courts.

Why did you choose to focus on sexual assault?
In becoming a lawyer, my desire was always to help underrepresented populations. This desire led me to employment law, criminal defense, and ultimately male sexual assault. What I began to notice is that male survivors of sexual assault have a long, difficult and distinctly different road in front of them when compared to their female counterparts. Not only do these males have the same feelings and reactions having been victimized, but they often face additional challenges because of social attitudes and stereotypes about men and masculinity.
What is a message you would like to give survivors of sexual assault who are afraid of pursuing their perpetrators in civil court?
The pursuit of justice is both necessary and therapeutic. It is only through this pursuit – whether ultimately successful or not – that many men and boys regain their strength, their sense of self-worth, and their peace of mind. We are here to help every step of the way. You do the healing, we will do the fighting.
