Hi, I'm Beth, and this is a quick sensory reset practice using the sensation of cold. So go ahead and grab something cold. That could be an ice cube, a chilled washcloth. It could be a beverage out of your fridge. It could even be splashing cold water on your face if that's accessible to you. So take a minute, grab what you need to, and then once you have it, invitation to close your eyes and drop into the sensation of cold touching your skin. Let's take a breath here together. Full inhale and full exhale . Good. And again, breath in and breath out . Letting your mind anchor on the sensation of cold. Last cycle of breath here. Inhale . Exhale And repeating to yourself, "I am here. I am present. In this moment, I am safe." And as you're ready, you can slowly reopen the eyes. You can release your cold object if you're holding on to it. And just know that this simple practice of connecting to the sensation of cold helps interrupt the pattern of activation in the nervous system. So if you're feeling that way, you can always reach for something cold. Let it bring you into the present moment. Let it bring you into the safety of right now.
